A wide public portico (colonnade street) paved with mosaics runs east-west along Weygand Street. Shops with mosaic floors opened onto the portico (as shown above) each bearing a Greek letter from A=I, closest to Souk Tawileh. (AUB - British Souks excavations 94-95)
