Fayrouz and Sabah Fakhri in Qatar:

The two great artists Fayrouz and Sabah Fakhri presented two concerts during the cultural festival in Qatar that was inaugurated this month. This was the second time for Diva Fayrouz to sing in Doha during the past ten years. A Lebanese-American Orchestra that was led by Maestro Karen Dorghian accompanied Fayrouz. 

“Singing Lebanon”:

“Singing Lebanon” is the title of the new festival that took place in Sidney in Australia last week. El Noujoum Productions organized the festival where 45 singers from the Lebanese foreigners sang especially those who were born in Australia and are living there. The Lebanese Ministry of Culture also participated in this festival and presented special certificates for the participants. The Executive committee of the festival honored Artist Naser Makhoul by giving him a Certificate of Appreciation for his work.

Kazem El Saher returns from the States:

Artist Kazem El Saher assured that his music tour to the United States aims at revealing the true nature of the Iraqi people. El Saher said that a number of Americans felt compassion towards him and asked: “Why do we strike the country of culture and art?” El Saher also continued that he sang a song for Baghdad in the States.

Katia Harb at the Egyptian Opera:

The Lebanese Artist Katia Harb participated in the new political Arab operetta (Kilna Minkammel Baad) at the Egyptian Opera House. This operetta is written by Said Hijab, and composed by Helmi Bakr.

Hayfaa Wehbi at Rotary Nightclub in Alexandria:

The Lebanese Singer Hayfaa Wehbi presented a huge concert at the Rotary nightclub in Alexandria. More than 1200 people attended the concert and enjoyed Hayfaa’s beautiful songs until dawn.

Hisham El Haj at Atlal Plaza – Tabarja:

Singer Hisham El Haj enchanted his audience who enjoyed his beautiful voice and songs as well as the warm atmosphere of Atlal Plaza- Tabarja last week.

Xanado:

Singer Charlie presented an unforgettable concert at Xanado nightclub in Kaslik last week where a number of socialites danced and sang until dawn.

Aroma:

Ever since it was inaugurated in Raoushe, Aroma nightclub has been attracting artists, journalists and socialites. Artists Filla, Jamal Suleiman, Anoud Maaliki and Grace Haddad enjoyed their night last week at Aroma as Artist Filla sang and played the organ.

Privilege nightclub:

A number of artists and socialites to spent their best time at Privilege nightclub last week. Artists Melhem Barakat, Rida Botros, and Elie Ayoub enjoyed their time and danced to the music of artists Hassan and Wael.


Coming Up:

After arriving from his tour to Turkey last week, Artist Assi El Hellani flies again on March 27 to Canada and the United States to present several concerts, which are a part of his music tour.

Artist Wissam El Amir will sign his new album (Mahsouba) at Virgin Mega Stores in Downtown- Beirut on March 31st.

The international Artist Shakira will be performing live in Paris on April 28.

The great artist Majeda El Roumi will present two huge concerts at the Egyptian Opera on March 27 and April 27. The funds of the two concerts will go to FAO organization since El Roumi is the Ambassador of the organization in the Arab World.

Artists Fadel Shaker and Majed El Mohandise will be performing live at L’Oscar Palace this Friday and Saturday. The stand-up- comedian Elie Ayoub will be the host for the evening.

Artist Fadel Shaker will be singing at Oscar Palace nightclub in Maameltain this weekend.

Artist Michel Ashkar returned to present the best entertainment at Zad El Kheir Restaurant.

El Sahria Nightclub in Sheraton Hotel in Damascus continues to present the best entertainment programs with Artist Michel Ashkar, Dancer Elisar and the Russian Show Group.

El Sahbagia Restaurant in Ashrafieh is proud to present the genuine oriental atmosphere with El Sahbagia band and the classical songs.

Artist Bassem Outhman and El Tarabeesh Group present the best entertainment at El Sahbajia Restaurant in Ashrafieh.

Singer Hisham Helo is singing at Tony Sha’aia restaurant on Ajeltoun Highway.

A disco dance club that plays all styles of international music, and plays special oriental music after 1:00 a.m. The decorations are distinctively bizarre showing a snake and hamster at the entrance.

Big Blue Restaurant presents a one-man show every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performing in Arabic, French, Spanish, and English. Couples and families can enjoy the music and the distinctive international cuisine served.

After opening and reopening, BO18 remains a grandiose club with its distinctive decorations. The seats are designed as coffins, and the roof opens and closes. It is a special place to enjoy jazz, drum and bass, trip hop, techno and house music. 18-year olds and above are welcome to enjoy BO 18 freaky atmosphere and sip exquisite drinks at the bar.

At Blue Velvet, you are left with mixed feelings of clamor and peace with the pop and oriental music played by DJ and duo Michel Haj, Rawad and Hadi.

Club 70 (01-366686/ Ain El Mreisseh)
It is a convenient place to dine and dance at the same time. The DJ plays foreign music until midnight, followed by live Arabic music.

Hellos (09-646666/ Jounieh)
Hellos is a popular hangout where people dance to the music of the DJ as he plays Oriental music, with a little taste of international music.

Intro (09-936858/ Ajaltoun Highway)
Couples enjoy a romantic feel with the glamorous and cozy arrangements of the tables at Intro. They also talk about the DJ’s unique taste of music that is not common among other hangouts, especially that Intro has selected a location far from the heart of the city away from other night attractions, which adds to its uniqueness.

Kookoo Club (01-426886/ Ashrafieh)
Kookoo Club is a bizarre place that allows a highly ‘personal’ fun, as well as group entertainment at the same time, thanks to its tree-like tables arranged with jungle like decorations. Music played is a mix of blues, jazz, Brazilian and Cuban music.

Ozone (09-643565/ Kaslik)
It is an exquisite club in Kaslik serving French cuisine. The  DJ plays foreign music, and an Arabic duo performs every night.

Time (09-930756/ Kaslik)
Times is a the place for those who want to party till dawn. It receives ages from 20s and up. Music is a mix of Arabic and pop, and the mirrors create considerable space giving confidence to those who enjoy dancing.

Stars Nightclub (09-340100/ Faraya)
From the heart of Faraya, Stars Nightclub can attract up to 800 partygoers on Saturdays. Its decorations are stylish, and the music is a mix of Oriental and foreign.

Zanzibar’s décor (09-541516/ Jbeil Port)
Zanzibar décor is fun and blends local ethnic patterns, South American and African paintings and old Roman stones. Latin nights with half price tequila margaritas on Thursdays. Dance around the globe with Real World Music on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Fridays and Saturdays dance to new generation music. Jazz on Saturdays.

Le Tycoon (01-610222/ Ashrafieh)
Le Tycoon is a club restaurant that serves French cuisine. DJ and two one-man shows nightly.

Mandaloun (01-611311/ Ashrafieh)
Mandaloun, apparently with an oriental touch, breaks the tradition by serving French cuisine. Two singers perform every night: one singing Arabic songs, and the other international as well as a D.J who plays songs of all tastes.

Strange Fruit (01-373764/ Downtown)
A new hangout on the scene, Strange Fruit is an exquisite and funky bar and music club presenting a different DJ every night. At Strange Fruit you can also enjoy a new Japanese dish called Berto Box. It is divided to four compartments, two cold and two hot. Each portion is considered an appetizer but the four together sum up a tasteful dish.

Taiga (03-499408/ Batroun main road)
It is a club/restaurant that accommodates 400 people. It serves an international menu, dancing on the bar, and arranges tables and stage on the weekend.

Xanadu (09-910400)
Dine and dance to the hits provided by the one-man show and DJ at Xanadu.

Caravanserai (01-350199/ Hamra)
It is a club for those who enjoy Mexican and French music. George Keredgion presents a number of foreign songs while Khudor Hassoun plays the lute and enchants the audience aging between 28 and 60 years old with classical music. Caravanserai serves Mexican and European cuisines.
