“Moulouk El Tawaif”, Mansour Rahbani … History repeats itself:
On February 13 was the opening night of Mansour Rahbani’s new play “Moulouk El Tawaif” starring Ghassan Saliba and Carol Semaha. Minister Michel Moussa representing President, Minister Baheej Tabbara representing the Prime Minister, and MP Nemat Allah Abi Nasr representing the President of Parliament, all attended the opening night of the play at Casino du Liban. During the press conference that Artist Mansour Rahbani held, he stated, “History repeats itself”, but we just don’t know how to interpret it. “Moulouk El Tawaif” states the historical facts of Andalusia, which was divided into twenty-two countries, the equivalent of the 22 Arab countries that exist today.  

Assi El Hellani at Sheraton Coral Beach:
On the first night of Eid El Adha, Artist Assi El Hellani enchanted his audience at Sheraton Coral Beach Hotel at the Ambassador’s Hall. Dancer Samara also presented a special performance for the occasion; in addition, to the great voice of singer Sarah El Hani.

Elisa  and Hayfaa Wehbi at Gefinor- Rotana Hotel:
Artist Elisa presented a night to remember at Gefinor- Rotana Hotel on Eid El Adha. The audience kept on singing and dancing until morning. Singer Hayfaa Wehbi also mesmerized the audience who kept dancing until dawn.

Melhem Barakat and Hayfaa Wehbi:
On Valentine’s Day, Musician Melhem Barakat presented an unforgettable concert at Atlal Plaza- Tabarja. Singer Hayfaa Wehbi participated in this concert and gave a fascinating performance. A number of socialites attended the concert such as actor Michel Abu Sleiman and his wife.

Ragheb Alama, Samo Zein and Nancy Ajram:
On the second day of Eid El Adha, Artists Ragheb Alama, Nancy Ajram and Samo Zein presented a huge concert at Movenpick Resort and Hotel – Rouche. The audience was enchanted by the beautiful atmosphere and magnificent voices, and enjoyed their night until dawn.

Ghassan Rahbani at Virgin Mega Stores:
Artist Ghassan Rahbani signed his new album entitled (Without Your Love), at Virgin Mega Stores, in Downtown- Beirut. A number of socialites attended the ceremony such as his wife, Dalida Shammai, Nisreen Zreik, Grace Haddad, Joe Raad, Antokatrojian, Richard Fawaz, and Alain Makdisi.

Asala Nasri and Wael Kfouri:
After singing the song “Alli Gara” by Alia El Tunisia with Saber El Roubai at Miss Nadine Festival, and after repeating a part of “Sahrat Hob” by Rahbani Brothers with Artist Mu’ain Shreif, Arist Asala Nasri surprised everyone when she accepted the invitation of Artist Wael Kfouri to stand by his side and sing some of his songs at a festival that united the stars of “Studio El Fann”

Fadel Shaker at Sheraton Coral Beach:
Artist Fadel Shaker presented a mesmerizing concert at Sheraton Coral Beach Hotel where he sang his famous song (Ya Ghayeb) on the second day of Eid El Adha. Artist Amal Hejazi also enchanted the audience with her beautiful songs. Dancer Khouloud presented an amazing performance as well.

Walid Toufique and Amal Hejazi:
Artists Walid Toufique and Amal Hejazi presented a successful concert at Oscar Palace on Valentine’s Day. A number of socialites enjoyed the beautiful voices and the special atmosphere of the soiree such as Artist Elias Rahbani and his wife. Singer Majed Mohandis also presented some great songs.

Jamal Abu El Hosn:
During the Music Festival (Itijahat Arabia), and upon an invitation from Cairo’s Symphonic Orchestra, Composer Jamal Abu El Hosn presented his new work. Abu El Hosn used the latest technological techniques in blending the music with images, laser, light, color, dance and poetry. The music work included three scenes, the first was entitled (Ro’ia Watania) and it talks about freedom, the liberation of the South, the resistance, the stone child, and universal peace. The second scene, (El Hadara Wa El Tattawor), talks about the New Age. The third scene talks about the oriental music culture and the Lebanese folklore. 

Ghassan Khalil:
The Lovers’ singer, Ghassan Khalil, celebrated Valentine’s Day at Atlal- Ashkout restaurant where he presented a number of his old and new songs.

Artist Tony Kewan will be performing live every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at Ayam Zaman Restaurant in Dubai starting February 25.

Artist Fadel Shaker will be singing at Oscar Palace nightclub in Maameltain this weekend.

Artist Michel Ashkar returned to present the best entertainment at Zad El Kheir Restaurant.

Club 70 (01-366686/ Ain El Mreisseh)
It is a convenient place to dine and dance at the same time. The DJ plays foreign music until midnight, followed by live Arabic music.

Hellos (09-646666/ Jounieh)
Hellos is a popular hangout where people dance to the music of the DJ as he plays Oriental music, with a little taste of international music.

Intro (09-936858/ Ajaltoun Highway)
Couples enjoy a romantic feel with the glamorous and cozy arrangements of the tables at Intro. They also talk about the DJ’s unique taste of music that is not common among other hangouts, especially that Intro has selected a location far from the heart of the city away from other night attractions, which adds to its uniqueness.

Kookoo Club (01-426886/ Ashrafieh)
Kookoo Club is a bizarre place that allows a highly ‘personal’ fun, as well as group entertainment at the same time, thanks to its tree-like tables arranged with jungle like decorations. Music played is a mix of blues, jazz, Brazilian and Cuban music.

It is an exquisite club in Kaslik serving French cuisine. The  DJ plays foreign music, and an Arabic duo performs every night.

Times is a the place for those who want to party till dawn. It receives ages from 20s and up. Music is a mix of Arabic and pop, and the mirrors create considerable space giving confidence to those who enjoy dancing.

Stars Nightclub (09-340100/ Faraya)
From the heart of Faraya, Stars Nightclub can attract up to 800 partygoers on Saturdays. Its decorations are stylish, and the music is a mix of Oriental and foreign.

Zanzibar’s décor (09-541516/ Jbeil Port)
Zanzibar décor is fun and blends local ethnic patterns, South American and African paintings and old Roman stones. Latin nights with half price tequila margaritas on Thursdays. Dance around the globe with Real World Music on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Fridays and Saturdays dance to new generation music. Jazz on Saturdays.

Le Tycoon is a club restaurant that serves French cuisine. DJ and two one-man shows nightly.

Mandaloun (01-611311/ Ashrafieh)
Mandaloun, apparently with an oriental touch, breaks the tradition by serving French cuisine. Two singers perform every night: one singing Arabic songs, and the other international as well as a D.J who plays songs of all tastes.

Strange Fruit (01-373764/ Downtown)
A new hangout on the scene, Strange Fruit is an exquisite and funky bar and music club presenting a different DJ every night. At Strange Fruit you can also enjoy a new Japanese dish called Berto Box. It is divided to four compartments, two cold and two hot. Each portion is considered an appetizer but the four together sum up a tasteful dish.

Taiga (03-499408/ Batroun main road)
It is a club/restaurant that accommodates 400 people. It serves an international menu, dancing on the bar, and arranges tables and stage on the weekend.

Xanadu (09-910400)
Dine and dance to the hits provided by the one-man show and DJ at Xanadu.

Caravanserai (01-350199/ Hamra)
It is a club for those who enjoy Mexican and French music. George Keredgion presents a number of foreign songs while Khudor Hassoun plays the lute and enchants the audience aging between 28 and 60 years old with classical music. Caravanserai serves Mexican and European cuisines.
