Fadi Badr at Shbako:

Singer Fadi Badr presented a magnificent concert at Shbako nightclub last week. El Badr enchanted the audience who enjoyed the songs and continued to dance until the first break of dawn. Artist Madona and dancer Nina Rahbani attended the concert.

4 Cats: The New Members

Artist Ghassan Rahbani invited the media and a number of socialites to celebrate the formation of the NEW 4 Cats Music Group with its new members at Chase café –Espace 2000. The newly formed group members are Dalida Shammaai, Maya Dyab, Nisreen Zreik, and Nathalie Barakat. 

Haneen and The Cuban Group:

The Tunisian News Papers wrote about the great success that artist Haneen and her band achieved during the three concerts they presented at the theater of Tunisia City during the City’s Festival. As a result of this huge success, committees are now discussing the possibility that Haneen could participate in Cartage Festivals in the summer.


Coming Up:

Artist Fares Karam will be singing in Ottawa at Mar Elias from December 15 until January 12, 2002.

Artist Majeda El Roumi will present a number of songs on the opening of The Arab Musical Center in Cairo by the beginning of next year.  

Grace Haddad and Opera Ayda in Jordan:
Producer Grace Haddad will present Opera Ayda in Jordan next year during the celebrations of “Aman, Capital of Arab Culture 2002”. The Italian Symphonic Orchestra, led by Mario Rotti, will present the opera in which more than 300 actors and actresses participate. The opera was last presented at Stad Du Paris in France on September 9, 2001 and was attended by more than 80 thousand people. Important Arab socialites will be invited to attend Opera Ayda in Jordan.

Singer Romeo Lyon sings every Saturday and Sunday at Frances Hotel in Annasara Valley in Syria.

Artist Mansour Rahbani announced that the play (Abu Ettayeb El Mutanabi) which was presented in Baalabeck, Damascus and Abu Dabi will be presented again in Lebanon starting on January 16 and until February 17, 2002 at Forum De Beyrouth.

Artist Fadi El Kadi returned to Lebanon after singing for three years at Dubai Marine Nightclub in Dubai. El Kadi is currently singing at Kzo Kzo Club in Ashrafieh.

Dancer Amani will continue to present her show (Ayam wa Layali Amani) this coming season, at El Madina Theater instead of Regency Palace Hotel –Adma.

Singer Nohad Najar sings every weekend at Mawardi restaurant.

Singer Kareem El Sha’ir and dancer Mirrella present a lovely performance at San Stefano every weekend.

Tarabia Restaurant presents Artist Bachar Darweesh every weekend.

Axaral club/restaurant presents the best entertainment with the live band-Flamenco every night.

Opera:
Located at the heart of Kaslik, Opera, is the HOT SPOT where it's all happening. The richest live program featuring more than four different singers performing a multilingual repertoire of songs, thus attracting many of Lebanon's local superstars. A state of the art sound, light and video screen system will blow your head off.

Le Senat:
Although Translated to English, Le Senat means THE SENATE, it is far from being a Dull Capitol where major decisions are made. Le Senat is one of the Hottest night clubs in Town where you can let your hair down and loosen up to the various Occidental and Oriental live music.
 

Layali Beirut Restaurant presents artist Rabih Zahr.

You can dance until the sun rises to the tunes of a DJ that plays club music (Acid jazz, hip hop drum and bass) at Acid night club.

Gothic grandeur at BO18 night club where coffins pose as seats, and the roof opens and closes. Acid jazz, drum and bass, trip hop and house music are played.

Ozone night club is a lavish hang out with a futuristic feel and serving French cuisine. It presents a DJ and Arabic duo every night.

Intro may be out of town but it’s well worth the journey. The DJ has an individualistic taste in music. Booth style tables for romantic evenings will give you a distinct feel.

Retro night club is a small and intimate club that has its own bizarre touch of décor such as antiques fabrics covering the walls and sofas as well as the mirrored ceilings, funky tunes and strobe lights.

Singer Ziad Shalhoub is presenting a magnificent performance with his lovely songs at Amadious night club in Dbaiyeh.

Egzit Nightclub that plays black music exclusively - R&B, hip-hop, drum and beat, underground rap, soul and swing. It is open at 10:30 Wed., Sat, with the live show ‘Rap Zone’ on Thursdays featuring Mix FM’s DJ Rap Base playing till dawn, and gifts and prizes.

Kookoo Club is a jungle setting, complete with trees, and a good mix of blues, jazz, Brazilian and Cuban music.

Times is popular with the 20s and up in-crowd who want to dance and party all night long. Music is a mixture of Arabic and pop. There are lots of mirrors for those who w ant to check out the way they look on the dance floor.

Stars Nightclub has a fashionable décor, and good music at this ‘in’ place up in Faraya that can attract up to 800 partygoers on Saturdays.

Zanzibar’s décor is fun and blends local ethnic patterns, South American and African paintings and old Roman stones. Latin nights with half price tequila margaritas on Thursdays. Dance around the globe with Real World Music on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Fridays and Saturdays dance to new generation music. Jazz on Saturdays.

Dancer Dina presents one of the best performances at Al Awtar nightclub, creating a special eastern atmosphere for its visitors.

El-Sabil Restaurant at Regency Palace Hotel-Adma presents distinctive oriental nights every week with its special entertainment program.

Singer Rami Salman presents a distinctive entertainment program at Blue Velvet night club.

Singer Rashad Salwan presents the most beautiful songs at Xanado nightclub.

The best atmosphere is at Shbako night club where the singing and dancing with singer Fadi El Badr never end.

Lavabo is the place to dine and ance to exotic DJ music. Hot dancers performing Thurs. and Sat. The oriental dancer Shakeer on Sat.

Le Tycoon is a club restaurant that serves French cuisine. DJ and two one-man shows nightly.

Le Troubadours is a 100-year old dungeon turned to a club playing Arabic music.

Mandaloun has an oriental décor, and international menu. Two singers perform at night: one singing Arabic songs, and the other international.

Orange Mecanique is making a new appearance for the lively younger set, OM features exotic cocktails in designer glasses.

Strange Fruits is an altra stylish bar and music venue that boasts features like a restroom with a shooter bar with its own DJ, presenting a different DJ every night.
