Faraya
- Mzaar:
Located in the
heart of the Mount Lebanon, Faraya is distant 40 Km and
Ouyoune El Simane 46 Km from Beirut, and it would take
about 1:15 hours by car to reach the resort.
Faraya is the name of the village just below the actual
slopes in Ouyoune El Simane-Kfarzebian, it is the
best-equipped and most popular resort of Lebanon.
Skiers, snowboarders, snowmobile addicts, cross-country
lovers and paragliders come to Faraya from all parts of
the country.
Starting at 1850 m, you may reach the 2465 m top of
Mzaar and enjoy the breathtaking view over the colorful
Bekaa valley, Mount Hermon of the Anti-Lebanon and other
peaks like Laqlouq and the Cedars. Coastal towns and
even Beirut the capital might be seen on a clear day.
Season usually starts late in December and lasts until
April.
Slopes are open from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM on weekdays and
4:00 PM during Weekends. Faraya - Mzaar witnesses
various competitions and ski events throughout the
season.
12 different slopes levels, from beginners to experts,
are available and served by:
- 2 snow wire lifts, 3 one person ski lefts, 2 two -seater
chairlifts, 3 three - seater chairlifts, 1 four - seater
chairlift.
