SAOUD ABOU SULTAN

Biography

“Whether you have a nice voice or no, the important is to sing”.  Those were the words repeated by the “Oud” player “Selim Abou Sultan” to his thirteen children.

Selim loved the music of Wadih El Safi and Farid El Atrash.  His dearest wish was to see one of his children become a singer.  So came Saoud who sang for the first time at the age of seven in the presence of the family.

And since then, he started a daily training in music and singing.

He pursued his dream of becoming a famous singer.  He memorized songs of artists such as Wadih El Safi, Abdel Halim Hafez and Georges Wassouf.  And since there is no Music Academy in the Emirates he decided to go to Egypt.

But he returned to Dubai to finish his studies.

He joined the University of Law then pursued his studies in the Police Academy.

Finally, he had the opportunity to participate in the Super Star program.  So he moved to Beirut and stayed there till the last episode of the program through which he succeeded to prove his talents.

Saoud participated in the Arab song Festival that took place in the Frensh City “Cannes”.  But his stardom reached its peak in the final stages of the Super Star program.
