On
the
occasion
of
the
Italian
National
Day
The
Italian
Embassy
in
Lebanon
and
the
Italian
Cultural
institute
organize
a
series
of
cultural
activities
for
the
Italian
National
Day.
The
festivities
will
begin
on
Saturday
June
1st
with
a
cocktail
and
a
musical
evening
at
the
Rest
House
of
Tyr,
organized
in
collaboration
with
the
Municipality
of
the
city
and
with
a
cocktail
on
June
2nd
in
the
Palace
of
the
Honorary
Consul
of
Italy
in
Saida,
Raphaël
Debbané.
The
main
event
will
naturally
take
place
in
Beirut,
on
June
4th,
and
will
see,
on
the
stage
built
on
the
Place
de
l’Étoile,
various
Lebanese
and
Italian
musical
groups.
The
Lebanese
public
will
have
the
occasion
to
listen
to
the
Duet
Christine
&
Isabelle,
to
the
Italian
language
singer
Khatchig
Zenian,
as
well
as
to
the
exceptional
participation
of
the
"Laudari"
Musical
Group
of
Catania
and
the
"Paternopoli"
Ethnographic
Group
of
Naples.
Thanks
to
the
collaboration
of
the
Pavia
Province,
and
following
the
success
of
the
Italian
Culinary
and
Cultural
Week
organized
one
month
ago
at
the
hotel
Le
Vendôme
Intercontinental
of
Beirut,
the
Institute
will
expose
in
a
stand
some
culinary
specialties
of
Pavia
Province,
such
as
wine,
cheese
and
ham
offered
by
the
famous
Cantina
La
Versa
and
different
producers
from
Pavia.
The
stand
will
come
alongside
with
other
stands
organized
by
ALITALIA,
Banca
di
Roma,
UNIFIL
and
various
NGOs.
The
Italian
Embassy
will
also
hand
over
a
Trophy
to
the
winner
of
the
1st
"Coppa
Italia"
Cycling
Competition
organized
in
Lebanon.
The
institute
will
also
present
an
Exhibition
of
Fashion
and
Design,
in
collaboration
with
the
Province
of
Pavia
and
the
Museum
for
Architecture,
Decorative
Arts
and
Design
(MADD)
of
the
Sartirana
Arte
Foundation
of
Pavia,
held
within
the
SIMAA
-
Art
Déco
Fair,
from
May
28th
to
June
2nd
at
the
BIEL
Center
of
Beirut.
