OSAKA
DADADA-Dan
Tenko
Japanese
Drumming
Team
OSAKA
DADADA-Dan
Tenko
is
a
Japanese
drumming
group
formed
by
Mondori
Isaya,
a
creative
dancer.
In
his
pursuit
of
his
own
"Mai"(dancing),
existing
drumming
teams
came
short
of
Isaya's
expectations
as
he
attempted
to
combine
drums (the
starting
point
of
musical
instruments)
and
dancing.
In
addition
to
the
powerful
drumming,
which
is
naturally
expected,
the
sound
of
Japanese
traditional
musical
instruments
such
as
Shamisen
(Japanese
three
stringed
instrument),
and
Shakuhachi
(Japanese
recorder)
are
fused,
and
further
combined
with
fantastic
dramatic
dancing
to
create
a
unique
performance.
Their
concerts
based
on
the
theme
of
“Energetic
Entertainment”
are
overflowing
with
entertainment
and
draw
a
lot
of
attention
with
their
dramatic
performances.
With
over
600
appearances,
they
have
taken
their
concerts
beyond
Japan
to
the
rest
of
the
world.
They
command
attention
as
“The
rare
group
that
united
modernism
with
tradition”.
Through
a
fusion
of
primitive
rhythm
and
modern
sensitivity,
the
performance
expresses
the
beauty
of
Japanese
styles
that
skillfully
captures
both
stillness
and
motion.
The
highly
trained
company,
with
their
acute
sensitivity
and
attractive
personalities,
goes
beyond
conventional
Japanese
performing
arts
to
generate
an
appeal
that
is
modern,
yet
wild.
OSAKA
DADADA-Dan
Tenko
has
been
garnering
an
increasing
amount
of
praise
and
appreciation
for
being
an
unique
group
that
transcends
the
traditional
framework
of
their
genre.
