Charles
Bennett, a.k.a “ Carlo Benebetti”, is not a man to mess with. The New York crime
boss runs a deadly business. Immaculately groomed and always in control, he sports a huge
emerald pinkie ring, a symbol of his power and flamboyance. |

| One evening at his favorite restaurant, Bennett meets three brash, wealthy sons
of old money. The trio, Avery, Max and Brett, kidnap Bennett in bold fashion. One of the
most feared men in the world wakes up a captive in a secluded and well-furnished summer
home in a remote area of Long Island. TK, a premed student and expert with a needle,
rounds out the group. On Brett’s orders, he sedates Bennett long enough to slice off
the pinkie ring, and the finger to which it’s attached. Charles is more than a bit enraged. It’s
obvious these guys don’t plan on living much longer. But right now that’s not
their primary concern. Avery’s sister, who is also Max’s girlfriend, has been
kidnapped. The boys don’t have the ransom money. Charles Bennett does. He also has the
Mob connections to track down the kidnappers and get Lisa back alive. If they cant
convince him to cooperate, he has nine more fingers….
Dazed and
bloodied, but completely in control, Bennett gets on the phone. The word is put out on the
street-find the girl! The group begins to play a “ friendly game” of pocker as
they await word from the kidnappers. Like the master of human nature that he is, Charles
uses the poker game to analyze his captors, looking for their weak link-and he finds it.
When Charles discovers there is “inside man” involved in Lisa’s kidnapping,
suspicious mount, and the boys no longer know whom to trust, the only thing they know is
they need Charles.
With
Charles’ henchmen in close pursuit, the boys manage to exchange the mob boss for
Lisa. But in this twisted tale, nothing is what it seems. Now the tables have turned and
it’s Charles who holds all the cards... |
