Beirut Nov. 7 1998 - Top travel agency managers in Kuwait and the United
Arab Emirates will be participating in a number of familiarization trips
organized by Anastasia Travel in collaboration with the Middle East Airlines.
The managers were invited to come to Lebanon between the months of December
98 and February 98. Anastasia's move aims at boosting and promoting tourism
in the country.

Beirut Oct. 30 1998 - The Fred Olsun ship (Black Prince), recently toured the Eskendaroun in Turkey, Beirut and Port Saeed in Egypt. Around 401 tourists coming from England and Spain were on board along with a crew of 198 members. In Beirut, Anastasia Travel in collaboration with Eastern Venues who are the official agent of Fred Olsun in Lebanon, organized the tour for the visitors in Lebanon. Anastasia Travel employed a special strategy for this tour. The tourists had the choice from four options: a visit to Baalbeck archeological sites, a tour in Beiteddine, a tour in Byblos and Nahr-El-Kalb or shopping in Hamra street.
All these activities were organized in one full day. The tourists, who were accompanied by 18 Anastasia tour guides, returned to the ship after enjoying a pleasant day in Lebanon. Such activities encourage tourists to come to Lebanon and enjoy the special hospitality.
In collaboration with the Lebanese Ministry of Tourism and Tunisia Airline, Anastasia Travel is working at boosting tourism cooperation between Lebanon and Tunisia. Fifteen big tour operators and representatives of travel agencies in Tunisia will arrive to the country to attend a tourism workshop along with representatives from the tourism ministry, the union of travel agencies in Lebanon and Lebanese hotels.

During the month of March (6-11), a touristic exhibition International Travel Exchange (ITB) was held in Berlin.
Lebanon was an active participant in this event. Lebanese tourism Minister Mr Nicolas Fattouch accompanied by representatives of tourism companies in the country, including Anastasia Travel, sought to promote tourism in Lebanon.
Anastasia Travel had a major role in presenting information about the most appealing touristic sites in Lebanon. Such an event would help boost the revival of tourism which is a basic economic sector in Lebanon.
The exhibition was attended by people from different countries in the world, many of whom were attracted by Lebanon's participation which was remarkable this year.
